Making The Move So you're all packed up and ready to move. Now what? There are a few important things you'll want to know such as when the container will be delivered, how to load and secure it, the easiest way to track your container and when it will be arriving at your new location.
Container Delivery Once we receive your order, A Way to Move will contact you to schedule the container delivery date and time. Our driver will deliver the container and leave it with you for the agreed time period (usually two days). Once you’ve loaded the container, we’ll return to pick it up to deliver it to your new location. Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to get any necessary permits or agreements before the container can be left at your premises for loading. Back to Top Loading the Container When the container is delivered, it is up to you how you pack the container, but with a little planning, packing the container is easy. Heavy items should be packed on the bottom, boxes should be strong enough to hold their contents, and fragile items should be well protected. We can supply a padlock if necessary, but for your own piece of mind we prefer that you use your own. That way you have absolute confidence that no one but you has access to the contents of your container. Back to Top Once You’re Packed When you are done packing your container, call our Customer Service team and let them know. We will have already scheduled the pick-up of the container, but if you get done ahead of schedule, we may be able to arrange for an earlier time. Back to Top Tracking Your Container During the Move For some people its important to know where their container is every day – others are happy with the assurance that it will arrive at the destination on schedule. Of course, it depends on the distance of your move, but A Way to Move will transport your belongings using one of the most efficient and reliable services available – with an on-time arrival record of over 99%. When you make your booking, we will agree to an arrival date and time with you. We aim to have your container at your required destination within 2 hours of the scheduled time. Back to Top
